Sound/Language Acquisition:
Generally, children should make the following sounds correctly and have certain language skills by the ages indicated:
Speech/Language Milestones: By 3 years By 4 years By 6 years By 7 years By 8 years
Articulation: p, m, h, n, w b, d, k, g, f, y t, ng, l ch, sh, dg, th s, z, th, zh, r, r and s-blends
Sentence Length: 3-4 words 5-6 words
Word Vocabulary 400-900 word 1500-2500 words
Remember that every child is different and none of them actually go by the book. As long as you see consistent development you probably have nothing to worry about.
